Joe Damico CD Package

"From his beginnings in the nationally recognized band Brothers Past to his currently buzzing Roots/Americana project Mason Porter; Joe has shown the rare ability to cross and blend genres with great success."

I was extremely happy that Joe asked me to design the CD package for his "Something in the Silence" CD. Joe's songwriting really reminded me of some of the early country and western 33 1/3 R.P.M. vinyl records put out by labels such as Roost, RCA and Columbia in the late 1940's.

I decided to design the CD package to have a complete vintage feel, using off kilter angles, a muted color pallet and mix-and-match typography.

The result is one of my all time favorite designs that I am immensely proud of.
