Amerikan Made Prints: Promotional Campaign
Amerikan Made Prints is a screen printing studio started by myself and my wife, Jenn. I create the designs, which are usually inspired by my experiences growing up in the 1970s and frequently falling down stairs as a child. Jenn is responsible for expertly mixing paint pallets for the posters and as well as quality control. Together, our goal is turning out posters that rock harder than Gibraltar.
One of the great things about running a studio is coming up with fun and interesting ways to self promote your product / service. Early on we came up with the idea of doing a take on Grant Wood's American Gothic but each of us wearing a tiger mask(which was a small tribute to my wife's love for the film Breakfast at Tiffanys)
We decided to combine the tiger mask images with my love of 1950's to 1970's magazine advertisments and create a full blown vintage looking campaign. People have really embrace the ccampaign and it has taken on a life of its own being almost as popular as the posters themselves.
